That does it for the top-10 - crazy strong jump for Adam Gaudette. Shows the kind of progress people feel he made this past year.

Closest poll yet. We're into the unknown a bit here. Some guys who people are really taking fliers on - no sure things anymore.

Pedan is overrated in my opinion. He just didn't show NHL capabilites, he was a clumsy skater, he was overwhelmed defensively and lost his guy several times, he had trouble getting it out of his zone. He's a good north-south skater, but I just don't see a capable NHL hockey player. Let him cook in the minors for another year and see where he is at.

Compared to a guy like Zalewski, a year older. He's a forward so it's easier to not stand out in a negative way, but he was solid. He won puck battles, he played good positionally, he made good decisions with the puck, and looked like a capable NHL player with an all-around solid game.

There are a lot of NHL players who play regular shifts and quality hockey without anything sticking out. Zalewski could be that type of player, and I think he'll be a good player. Production in the AHL at a young age.

Cassels is getting underrated here. He's shown a lot more than Brisebois and Gaudette in my opinion. A combination of shiny new toy syndrome and other players not having to go through the struggles of making the jump to pro.

That's fine though. Let him fly under the radar this year and skyrocket up the rankings next season. I still have faith in him.

Really don't get the love for Pedan.

Intriguing skills, sure, but the guy was inconsistent in the AHL (despite still being a very important player for the Comets), and played poor during his call up.

Just don't see how people can have him above a guy like Zalewski, who's been far better in the AHL and didn't look out of place during his call up.

Come on...

Brisebois is two years and three months younger—that's like over 800 days.

Way better than Cassels :sarcasm:

Pretty much this.

A proper, non-recuperating off season to work on his skating and strength should do wonders.

Olson, I don't rate Pedan as ever being more than a #8/#9 AHL journeyman. Would rather vote for more promising prospects.

Cassels. I'm predicting a break out year for him in the AHL this year. One of our smartest prospects who needs to improve on his skating but has a higher skill set than the others. A full off season being healthy should help him adjust to the AHL. This will be a critical year for him to get back on track.

Cassels is another failed top 90 pick.

lol okay bud. I'd like to see anybody else play over 100 games in a season and have no time to train in the offseason because of multiple injuries, and then make the jump to pro. He's going to put himself back on the map this year. His training was questioned to begin with. Let's see what he does with all that time to improve his strength and skating.

Pedan, he's already shown to be a top AHL defender and has only played 130 games there. If he makes the Canucks squad I think his learning curve will be steep.
