He makes 1.5M less than Hamonic.Doesn't "clear cap". We cleared cap before we picked him up.
Math ain't you strong suit huh. It clears 1.5 million in cap. Man does this board love their draft picks.Doesn't "clear cap". We cleared cap before we picked him up.
You were mad at those 10 minutes lolRemember when we had 3M in cap space and a 3rd round pick ?
Those 10 minutes were wonderful.
Considerably. Dermott isn't anything special but he's decent for the most part. Played quite well in the Habs/Leafs series until that... one game.
We save money and get a better player. I'm okay with this even if it's mostly a lateral move.
He'll fit right in without even trying.Chaotic in his own zone sometimes
Apparently this is some kind of 4-way trade with Ottawa as well, it's all interconnected.
PLEASE tell me we didn't retain on Hamonic.
The trade wasn't Hamonic for Dermott though...they saved $3m and gained a 3rd rounder, then made another trade to give up the 3rd rounder and $1.5m. Yes, they are a net savings right now, but they were further ahead before the Dermott trade. He makes 1.5M less than Hamonic.

Canucker, why don't you take 5 minutes and think of all the ways you can say this trade is bad and just have one big post instead of 10 little ones. You goofy goober.Hey Siri ,
How can the Canucks make the worst NHL defense even worse ?
Dermott is LD in NHL level. If he had played RD as good as 80% of his LD, he would have played RD. Leafs has no RDDermott plays RD in junior so…

The deal hasn't been fully done. Main boards say Leafs waiting on some cap maneuvering. No retention.
The post I responded to stated swapping Hamonic out for Dermott doesn't clear cap.The trade wasn't Hamonic for Dermott though...they saved $3m and gained a 3rd rounder, then made another trade to give up the 3rd rounder and $1.5m.
