Interesting that Rathbone lands there given they already have Ty Smith who can do some similar things.

Friedman is a depth d-man who can play both sides but you probably don't want him in the NHL. Probably more there to match Rathbone's 1-way deal.

Glover profiled as a power forward/PK/bottom six type guy. Not a great prospect or anything but should be okay AHL depth for now.

Plasek is a contract slot.

Myers and Friedman average out to a normal sized defender though, so it's all good.

Rathbone isn't making it and is made pretty useless with Wolanin and Hirose on the left side

Adds a body to the right side. Can't be worse than Juulsen right? Should be mostly AHL fodder though I'd assume

Glover as a big bodied center is an interesting one. Don't really know much about him or Friedman for that matter. Is Friedman any better than Juulsen? Or is he just Abby bound as well?

-Rathbone will be an RFA after this season and this is Plasek's last season of his ELC
-Friedman will be a UFA and Glover has another season on his ELC
-Canucks are sending out 1.02m in cash and taking on 0.935 with a difference of 0.085m saved
