First off, gutted to lose Burrows. Anytime a career Canuck leaves it's a sad day for the franchise. Still a very solid player and this team will be worse in the short term without him, on and off the ice.
That said, this is a good return. First deal under this administration where the pure value of the trade appears to go in our favour. Even if Dahlen doesn't turn out*, you can't fault the value of the deal, and this player steps in as a top 5-6 prospect for us. Takes some of the sting out of the Gudbranson deal.
*unless there's something about the player that Ottawa knows and we should have known that derails his development.

How nuts is it that Burrows was a buyout candidate last year? The whole notion was completely absurd at the time and this just confirms how ridiculous it was.
Without even considering anything else, a buyout for Burrows wasn't even useful from a cap perspective.
