He's not huge, but he's not small and soft either. 190lbs and good balance so he doesn't get knocked around easily like Vey.
Nice, thank you.

That's leverage in open ice though. He's been known to evade the corners and get manhandled in traffic.

Are there 2 guys in the league that want to stick it to Burke and the Flames more than Sven Baertschi and Hunter Shinkaruk?

Burke wasn't part of the Flames organization for the 2013 draft. And if the rumors from that time are true, Shinkaruk didn't even want to go to Calgary.
You're right about Baertschi though. He should thrive if your coaches don't try to force him to play like Gallagher.
if utica gets knocked out of the playoffs, and we make it into the playoffs and are still playing at that time, we have to assume baerstchi will at least be a black ace, no?
Just for fun, I think Baertschi-Horvat could be a potentially great pairing in a couple years time. Bo having the skating and IQ to mesh nicely with Baertschi but also able to control the puck on the boards and around the net and Baertschi playing the playmaker/distributor role off the wing. Way to early to expect such things but if we're just spitballing future pairs, I think that is one that could work really well.
Burrows was LW until he got promoted to the Sedin line, wasn't he? That's what I recall.
Why isn't he playing tonight?
Why isn't he playing tonight?
Because Utica doesn't have a game tonight...
i wasn't crapping on the line, i just think practically it works out with the left wingers end up playing left wing and some other natural right winger plays right wing.
Would you ever actually use the word ambivalent in normal conversation. The thesaurus use on this site is hilarious.
What it does show is that he has the strength to play a tougher game, he just needs the confidence to do so. When a player of the size and stature of Baertschi doesn't have the confidence to go into the tough areas they will avoid them. Once they have the confidence they will.
This was an excellent trade for the 'nucks. Baerstchi, I feel, is being significantly underrated here. What people have to remember is that as little as 12+ months ago, he was considered a 'blue chip', top-notch offensive prospect. Meaning, not a 'top 100' guy, but 'top 10', basically. He's disappointed one team, but this (his first) change of scenery will certainly be the make-or-break opportunity for him. And I'm pretty sure most NHL teams would have liked Baerstchi's 'make-or-break' chance to have been with them, provided it would only have cost them a 2nd Round Pick.
Awesome... just the notion that somebody would deduce that the guy must have used a thesaurus to find 'ambivalence'... that, my friend, is where the hilarity lies.
'I have a limited vocabulary. Therefore, everybody else must have a limited vocabulary too'. Going by that logic: I don't understand how my computer is functioning right now, because I suck at electrical engineering.
to be honest, i havent seen a single instance of someone using a word thats too complicated for the idea that they're communicating in recent memory - at least on this forum
heck, i dont even use capital letters!
Not to discourage a use of high level vocab. But the unnatural use of "dictionary" words is totally insane on HF.
