It is likely only a matter of time before E.Kane is moved, and vancouver are probably one of the few teams calling due to his off ice issues. They are probably the only team in the league that are in a position to help him mature as well.

Luca Sbisa + CBJ 2018 2nd for E. Kane + 2018 3rd.

The deal works as Luca Sbisa is a 5/6 LHD in the NHL. A lot of posters say he isn't even good enough for AHL, but he had good numbers while playing a lot with Bartowksi/Weber last season for the 41 games he suited up for. The picks add to make the value fair, CBJ will likely be a 30-45 pick in 2018 and Buffalo will probably be a playoff team in a couple years making it anywhere between 75-90.

Kane is worth a lot more than Sbisa ever will be.
I would take Kane even with his problems to Ducks over Sbisa 10 times out of 10.

Are they trying to trade Kane or desperately trying to unload him?

To me it seems some vancouver fans are desperately trying to unload Sbisa.

Buffalo is not going to get the value for Kane that fans think he will. It is likely Kane stays a Sabre next season, but it is also likely he gets traded for less than his on ice play would warrant.

Still not taking Sbisa. Not getting full value =/= not getting any value.

Sbisa is worth nothing. You won't get anything for him. Perhaps you as a fan think so, but you're wrong.

It's funny how posters on this site see Sbisa as having no value. A player that can play on a bottom pairing for pretty well any team in the league will have value. If he played a full season last year people would be looking at him differently here, but for 41 games played, he put up numbers you would expect from bottom pairing dmen on any team.

Stoner - a player Ducks actively seek to trade - is better than Sbisa. I think you have a case of denial.
Sbisa has the size to be in NHL, nothing else.
Also "on this site?" So are you from reddit or cdc?

Personally as a Canucks fan no interest at all in Kane. If this was the 2011 Canucks with a veteran core, sure... but as a rebuilding team already with limited cap space I'd have no interest in adding that contract for that player into this lineup. Won't be a good example for other young players coming up and his contract is already bloated for a guy with his issues.

The Canucks already have too many concerns and question marks to go through over the next few years... no need to add on top it with a player like Kane.

I hate Sbisa and want him gone but I'd rather just carry that contract for now then take on Kane and his issues.

Cap hit.

Seriously 3.6, back loaded, and for 2 more years. That contract give Sbisa negative value. He's 2 million overpaid per year.

If real life were anything like HFBoards ... Evander Kane would have a ton of value considering the demand for him.

A better deal would be this..........

Vancouver trades L. Sbisa

Buffalo trades NOTHING

In reality, Benning prob adds a 2nd. :(

No thanks on E. Kane.

If real life was anything like HF Boards, the league would have caved in on itself years ago.

How many Kane to Vancouver threads do we need.

Again, we are not taking Sbisa in any trade, especially not in a Kane trade

It'll be interesting to see what Kane's value is to a team, he has talent and he brings the size and grit teams love but the off ice and locker room issues he's brings with him is cancer for a team.

Evander kane isn't that bad. Don't think you guys have anything we want.
This trade is just robbery.

Off ice issues sure. But nobody knows if there's any kind of locker room issue in Buffalo. No Buffalo player has said they have any problem with Kane. Unless people hang out in Buffalos locker room nd hang out with the players, the whole "he's a locker room cancer" should be dropped
