Very unlikely. He would have to find another level to his game to become an NHL player and I don't think he will do that. Also a problem with Lyytinen are injuries, which hinder him.

Lyytinen is a top pairing defenceman in Liiga, which is a good achievement on it's own. I think he might go to KHL or Switzerland to make some money. I don't believe we'll be seeing him in America anymore.

As a HIFK fan i don't see in Joonas Lyytinen any NHL potential.
When Lyytinen plays well and he has good confidence level he's pretty good player.
But then when he has bad night or low confidence etc issues then he's infuriating to watch.

Lyytinen has got a lot of shit for HIFK fans of his bad games etc issues
And especially nights when he's been lost or out of his position.

Probably after his time in HIFK Lyytinen will end up to KHL / NLA / SHL dman.
But NHL train for him has gone good while ago.
