The Miami basketball team lost its ninth straight game to end the 2023-24 regular season and finish 14th out of 15 teams in the ACC. Miami was picked to finish second in the preseason polls. The 83-75 loss to Florida State on Saturday was the 12 in the last 13 games to the Seminoles.

Fans have been perplexed for weeks about how Miami could go from a Final Four team with consecutive appearances in the Midwest Regional Final to nine straight losses to end the season. Miami will begin the ACC Tournament at 7 PM ET on Tuesday night. Miami will play either Boston College, Georgia Tech or Notre Dame.

On June 10, 2023 Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor appeared at Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals in Miami, Florida, to promote his pain relief spray in a planned skit with Burnie. McGregor proceeded to punch the man wearing the mascot costume once and then again when the man was on the ground, and subsequently the man was treated in a hospital emergency room. Most of the crowd in attendance booed McGregor for his actions.[1][2] On June 13, three days after the incident, McGregor clarified that "it was a skit," and that "and all is well" between the two.[3][4]

Is that whatever-it-is also part of "Heat Culture"
You know darned well that's "Burnie". He's been the mascot forever. And McGregor can claim all he wants that "all is well" but I doubt Burnie agrees with him.

Looking forward to hearing Morning Joe analyze that Georgia rally from last night. :yo:

Our boy "Tanger" struck yet again:

:shakehead :help:

I’ll probably get called “fairweather” or whatever by the idiots on the Pens board again :eyeroll: but I said again that out of the big 3, Letang should have never been resigned.

For his entire career he’s always been brainless. Even before the strokes. :help:

Why the Pens org were/are always so high on him, I have no idea. He’s never even won a Norris for crying out loud.
