Hello!
I have been a huge hockey fan since the 1980s yet I really have not played hockey simulations as I am not very good. Yet with COVID-19 and being at home a lot I have really dug into EA NHL 21 since the trial was released.
I am embarrassed to admit that I got a little carried away trying to get players that I have loved from my past. I ended up with players like McDavid, Ovechkin, and Hedman, but as a longtime player and watcher of the real game it’s amazing just to hear something like:
“The puck goes from Roy to Chelios to Robitaille to Howe to Gretzky who scores!”
However, after going a bit overboard channeling my hockey past it dawned on me that, as this is my first time really getting into a hockey game, I do not know if the player cards I have can be upgraded. For example, can I upgrade my 89 Gretzky so as to keep pace with the game and future cards? Or am I now “stuck” with an 89 Gretzky going up against, say, a 95 Gretzky six months from now?
