Yes Rockhold got badly whooped before he did that eyepoke. He won't be champion again, not with that stand-up.

Probably not many people watching, but that was a great card tonight. Lots of fun action and great finishes.

A lot of these under rated cards have the best action, and that is what happened tonight.

Rockhold's striking has always been overrated. He's chinny and has limited weapons. Where he wins is his GnP. It's the best in the division. He doesn't realize this. What he did to Weidman, Machida etc was nasty.

It's not that he doesn't realize it. It's just he isn't particularly good at initiating the wrestling and he's not an explosive takedown artist. He really relies on his opponents to close the distance so that they either get in Rockhold's check hook or get into the clinch, where Rockhold can start clinch wrestling.

This ended up being a pretty good card.

Good return after a long layoff for Rockhold. He probably ate a few too many shots early on but there was just a huge talent gap in that fight. That division is still a mess though so I don't know what they're going to do with him now. GSP has the next shot and then it should be Whittaker.

Usman looked impressive once again. He should get a step up in competition in his next fight.
