Good on Pettis, to say he would love a title shot, but feels he needs more seasoning before that happens.

Honest answer but he should've just gone ahead and called his shot. There's no one else for DJ to fight after Borg.

Pettis poses a more interesting matchup to DJ than most others in the division.

He's very technical and good everywhere but not great in any certain area + lacks knockout power.

Demetrious Johnson has better wrestling, BJJ, striking, cardio, is faster and has more power.

You need a fluky-odd guy with knockout power and lightning quick submissions to beat DJ IMO. Maybe a Cody Garbrant guy too. Awesome headmovement, knockout power, and great footwork with a wrestling background.

from a strategic point of view, the way to defeat DJ is to cut off his well-rounded-ness. Force him to fight in one area and cut off the options of other areas. For example, being a better striker with elite takedown defense. To me, Kyoji Horiguchi was trending to be that fighter to beat DJ before he got released.

Rashad's decline has been unbelievable. And I realize the Liddell KO was nearly 10 years ago, but his speed, head movement, willingness to exchange, was just night and day compared to what it was now. The Machida KO really hurt him mentally, and you could even see in the Hendo fight when a jab dropped him he was just completely demoralized. The guy is terrified of getting hit. If he can't shake that it's probably time to call it a career unfortunately.

I think his confidence is just done, he's so tentative and has no interest in exchanging anymore.
