If Kessel hadn't left the last practice early and Bozak hadn't been dealing with some injury most of the camp I'd be more optimistic. Being banged up right out of the gate isn't all that comforting.

I don't know if having a new strength and conditioning coach would help, but it is something Shanis need to investigate. Being properly fit and trained is good prevention for injuries.

Kessel hasn't missed a game in 4+ seasons. Lupul's injury history has followed him before coming to the leafs. Just stop.
