8 mil after two years of good hockey on a bad team? Wouldn't do 8x8 if that is what some will suggest...

Bridge deal of 6mil for 3-4 years would be smarter from a team standpoint...

Given his point totals are pretty much the same, I think the 8 mill per would be a heck of a lot easier for Anaheim had he potted almost 40 again.

That said, it is possible he would be a ppg player once the team starts trending up, so around 8 shouldn't be out of the question and don't see how they're 3.5 mill apart, but I don't watch many ducks games, so if he floats, gives 0 f***s defensively, then maybe I could see the discrepancy

8 mill is grossly high for him... BUT I totally get why he's pushing for that

Don't blame him at all

Cole Caufield got under 8 and he's way better. I get the UFA vs RFA years but at some point you gotta stop.

He'll get around 6 for a year (right in the middle) and a poor relationship with Anaheim toward becoming a UFA.

What’s the value of Terry? Would you give him 8M? Seems risky for a guy entering his 8th NHL season, really only took off 2 years ago.

As a Ducks fan, that seems high. I figured he’d be closer to 7 or 7.5 on the high end.

This is just how the NHL arbitration process works. The player comes in very high, the team comes in very low, and the arbitrator almost always just splits the difference (pretty much to the exact median).

It's a dumb system.

He does it all for the team and should get as much money as possible.

Zegras is their cult leader.

You take all the money you think to give Terry right to Zegras.

Zegras is my favorite player.
