lol when i read this I got ptsd....leafs and using their leverage....what a thought

nah....honest effort kind of guy does not equal leader
Even if JT is quiet and don’t say stuff, the fact that he is in the room, you get players will look at him for guidence, it is common sense. Just like Spezza when he was here.
Leadership is not a letter on the jersey

Ive seen enough of Tavares not sticking up for his teammates, skating away, looking the other direction, to know he is not a leader. Or maybe he is cause the rest of the gang followed his lead. Maybe I should rephrase...I dont want Tavares as the leader just like I didnt want Marleau as the mentor for the core guys.

100%. Marleau was the worst signing of all. He brainwashed the kids

NSH/TOR looks like a possibility

Cernak and/or Cirelli seem like they could be moved out in Tampa, I would have an interest in both but Cirelli would need some salary retention

Holmberg, Liljegren, Robertson, 5th for 750k-1.5M retained Cirelli

You don't want Stamkos.

Tampa just re-acquired McDonagh. They have 18 guys signed, and only $5mil in cap space... so it seems likely Stamkos is gone, unless they move other bodies, and he signs for league minimum.
I meant that as a joke.

I think Cernak might be gone. He's become injury-prone and is already "broken down" according to Tampa fans.

There's needs to be heavy salary retention for any team to take Cernak. I also don't think Tanpa trades Cernak to a rival

Nashville paid a stupid amount of money to clear the cancers outta their locker room in Duchene and RyJo. Why would they wanna turn around and burn both assets and money on Marner?

Tampa re-acquiring McDonagh doesn't appear to be too cost prohibitive in trade at all, but they're obviously taking on his full ticket for the next two seasons.

Nashville has a million picks they are preparing for us. I think they have four 2nd rounders at least over 2 years lol
