Any tough guys in draft that can also play hockey?
I wanna know too!
From the OHL, Theo Peckham.
And to a lesser extent in both categories, Devin DiDiomete.
Chris Stewart is a good fighter for a powerforward...
but if your looking for a 4th line enforcer I don't know of any...
Milan Lucic is a good fighter and a pretty good player at the junior level. Should be a 3rd round pick.
I've heard stuff about Ryan White?
Wait...or was it Clutterbuck?
One of them was a good fighter...
Lucic is one guy you can pay attention to coming out of the draft for tough guys.
Big Ian Mckenzie from Moose Jaw has come on strong in playoffs.... he is 6'5", skates well and can fight. His strength is his game breaking hits he throws - wow!
Ive heard of Mckenzie. They say he hits like a train.
Kyell henagan in shawinighan , not lose many fight and have a good sense of hockey
Frazer Mclaren from Portland and Theren Yeo from Brandon
Milan Lucic is definitely the guy to look at from the WHL. He can pretty much do it all. He had 21 fights during the regular season and didn't lose any of them. As the season went on he only got better and better. He is a solid skater (for his role) he has a good release and is a punishing checker. He is also sound defensively and doesn't take many dumb penalties. Most of his penalties come from fighting majors and/or misconducts. Nothing that really hurts his team in other words.
He is also the second most fit player on the Giants only behind Mark Fistric. He'll likely go in the 2nd round, IMO.
Theo Peckham is a legitimate heavyweight.
Lucic sounds like a nice guy.
He is. In all meanings of the word.
