why are we screwing nylander to pander to marner?

How is it pandering Marner?? You can have JVR - Matthews - Nylander if you want, but there's literally no-one to do the forechecking. Marner does the forechecking+driving role, which is way too much for 1 player to do, on the JVR-Bozak-Marner line. Hyman does it on the Matthews-Nylander line currently. That's why if you move Hyman from Matthews line for JVR, you need a forechecker on the RW. Not my rules, but that's the way Babcock 100% sworks.

If you cannot change the shutdown line nor the Matthews line, then the JVR-Bozak-Marner line sticks forever. The point is to change that line up since they're a liabilty defensively together. Unless you're suggesting one of them play on the 4th line instead.
