It's a live ball. Can't argue that. Costly mistake. Sucks but that's what it is. They can still come back.

Since Choo didn't leave the batters box and Martin hit him it is a live ball. Jays are arguing it was interference and Choo should be called out

The part that's unfortunate is that from a catcher's perspective, the bat isn't there, then he goes to throw and he puts his hand in the way.

The other unfortunate part is that the ump immediately waved off the play and the defence stopped.

that is exactly what is got me going. the ump originally waved it off. defense just stopped because the ump waved.
