Yeah it feels weird to me too. They aren't exactly the deepest team in the league and Krug is a proven force on the PP. I get not wanting to pay for a player who is going to start declining but Krug is the type of vet that will still be useful even 5 years down the road on a contender.Boston should keep him. Their PP is a huge part of their success, and they have a good cap situation anyway
Yup hometown Detroit will throw the brinks truck at Torey. Its 99% Red Wings. Krug has earned his money.
I wish Montreal went after him and not useless Edmundson.
I’m sure we could have convinced Krug to give us a chance and play with his great bud, Jeff Petry. Montreal just made too much sense, considering he’s exactly the defenseman we’ve been longing for...
Reportedly anywhere from 7 x $7,500,000 to 7 x $8,000,000Does Krug want crazy term or $$$...Seems like the Team has never even tried to engaged in an extension with him, very odd for a team lacking point producing D
Coming home to Detroit, Book it 7 x $7,500,000
Childhood team, Blashill was his coach in Juniors and Krug has said that he'd love to play for him again. Both family oriented there in Michigan him and his wife close to their families. Stayed in Michigan during Covid. He's from Michigan so maybe he has stated his desire is to only play there and cash in?
Agree he's not worth more more then 5 x $6,500,000 at the very most. Just a bad feeling that Yzerman will overpay for his services. If he can get it, good for him, but that’s an ugly contract.
