After discovering a neat feature in hockeydb where you can sort Coyotes by stats I was surprised at some of the results.
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/ttotdisplay.php?tid=790

- Shane Doan is 27 games away from 1000 regular season games, pretty amazing.
- If Derek Morris stays healthy over his 4yr contract, he could overtake Numminen.
- Hanzal will leap to 5th overall Coyote forward after 48 games next season.
- Bryzgalov will overtake Khabibulin after 16 games and Burke after 22 games to be No.1 goalie.
- Yandle is also well positioned to jump up.
- If we'd kept Ballard, he would be 4th all time by now.

Pretty pathetic list after the top 3 guys. I mean.. Mike Johnson is 10th.. that says it all. At least it will be interesting watching our rookies hopefully climb this list.. Mueller is already 30th.

Top 10 Assists and Pts follows pretty much the same pattern.

Top PIMS
1. Shane Doan 742
2. Keith Tkachuk 716
3. Jeremey Roenick 596
4. Daniel Carcillo 398

Keep in mind that's a Coyotes list, not a Coyotes/Jets list. With the amount of turnover this team has had in its decade of existence, it's no surprise to see such a lackluster list.

That is a bit unfair. I have fond memories of Mike Johnson's time in Phoenix even though he failed to look very good in any other jersey. Mike had 159 points in 242 games with Phoenix for ~0.66 ppg. He was no world beater but he had a pretty good run with the Coyotes.

I do like Mike Johnson.. I admire the way he managed to come back from such a terrible start with the Coyotes, he was mocked and I believe was only days away from the waiver wire at one point. But he became a solid professional and a valuable member of the team. But a goalscoring list with MJ in it is kind of depressing. Defensive specialist Dallas Drake is number 9. Hmm.

On a separate topic its good to see how many games Z has played already.. second most behind Doan, he's heading into the top 10 and top 5 shortly I'm sure. :handclap:

It is nice to see. If the core group the Coyotes are developing are not dominating these lists in a few years, I will be disappointed. The future looks bright.

Teemu selanne would have been top five in goals after his rookie season - crazy - that's after 10 years in the desert.

Thank goodness for Mueller, Turris and Boedker - we can have hope that some of those numbers will inflate!

that's pretty much a picture perfect list, order and everything. i might put tkachuk ahead of steen... maybe. you could make some cases for some other players but who do you take off? nice job.

Thanks...the hardest decision was between Steen and Numminen trying to figure out who went 2 and 3

The talent that has come through this town has been pretty dang good.

My all-time list is not about stats. It's just my list of gamers.

List includes guys that have had great careers that once wore a PHX sweater.

-Daniel Briere
-Keith Carney
-Shane Doan
-Dallas Drake
-Nikolai Khabibulin
-Teppo Numminen
-Jeremy Roenick
-Cliff Ronning
-Keith Tkachuk
-Rick Tocchet

What about Mike Gartner? Not a perennial all-star but 700 goals is nothing to sneeze at... :)

I actually met that guy in a N.Scottsdale McDonalds when he was playing here briefly. Very cool dude.

I must admit that he did not make my personal list. I was not a hockey fan when he was in his prime. Sure his numbers were outstanding. I just listed my personal top ten. ;)

Amused to see that Phoenix has the 2nd best Points Pct in the Pacific..
It is easy to forget after regular first round exits followed by several years of just plain losing, but the Coyotes were a consistent playoff team during the Roenick/Tkachuk years. They often came out blazing in October only to slowly cool off, just make the playoffs and go bust in the first round.

Yeah, great list!
Only thing i'd be tempted to change is to put Sean Burke into Zhamnov's spot...

Just personal preference, I guess, but he really stablized the net after the Khabby fiasco (thank you florida :naughty:)

The biggest omission from this list, especially if talking about gamers is Sean Burke. I'd argue he's had the biggest impact on Phoenix Coyotes hockey with the exception of Shane Doan....and it continues to this day with his work with the goalies.

Yeah, my top 'respect' list would be Doan, Teppo, and Burke.

The data comes from Hockeydb where he's listed as a C. Tkachuk is a C as well, there isnt really a good distinction between C, F, W.
