I know I am going to get flamed hard on here but looking at the deal I think it helps both teams. Money wise it’s a wash. Edm basically gets another 1 C but adds skill at the wings. Production wise it may be a step up with Matthews and Nylander. Brown has scored 20 before but has basically been asked to play a more shutdown and PK role the past few years. Put on a wing with Drai or RNH would likely be a 20/20 guy.
TML obviously get the best player but frees up money from our forwards and adds another much needed RHD depth D man (second or third pairing). They also gain some grit in Kassian. McDavid and Kap could be deadly together.
