With the exception of 1 series where McDavid would go God mode, I agree.

This isn’t a division where you look and see Boston,TB,Toronto and go wow tough division. I never thought the Leafs shouldn’t be first at any time looking at it.

McDavid went god mode against Chicago (who wasn't even technically a playof team) last year and Edmonton got put out 3-1. I don't think it's impossible and Edmonton would probably be our biggest worry from the North if any despite the regular season series, but if I'm being honest we put them out in 6 games or less.

Don't think it's disrespectful to say that given our talent, firepower and depth, there are few teams that can play at our level when all our lines are clicking. Issue is, we've played at the level far too inconsistently in recent years. This year it seems like there's a new level of maturity and poise with this team.

Playing your best is easier said than done, no team does that on a regular basis. We have a lot of talent, I don't think anyone disputes that.
