If Kakko could grow a semi-hitler stash like Laf, maybe he’d be lighting it up too.

On a serious note…. No Shesty, Fox, or Chytil and the team is still playing great.

Good job Drury.
Drury having approximately 7 dollars to work with this off-season and refreshing this roster with it was a touch of class. Guy is a dollar store wizard

Sadly - despite his recent surge, I’m still correct.
Hopefully by the end of the year I am wrong.

Here
To bad we have the week off with the Ranges on fire the last 10 games going 9-0-1. I hope they don't lose that momentum coming back after a week off. Good it gets our guys to rest and hope the injured are getting healed, but at the same time the break kills our momentum
Yeah, you know its coming.

Not to mention the schedule when they do come back:

@ Devils - Always a tough matchup regardless of where the teams are
@ Stars - 7-3 in the last 10, 4 game winning streak
@ Pens - 5 game winning streak, Crosby with the hatty last night
@ Flyers - Tough division matchup they should win
Bruins - on a back to back, afternoon game. Yeah.

We all need to brace ourselves for the fact that they will not sustain this winning percentage all year, they will have some downs. All teams (except for the 22-24 Boston Bruins apparently) are faced with it. And thats fine.

The very good thing is they know how to win. They've bought into and internalized Lavs system quickly and know what they have to do to win games. They know they can come back and gut out points whether they are on the road or at MSG. They seem to be building defined roles and a identity as a team. The special teams are elite.

You could say you dont want them to peak too early, but all of thats important for the long haul.

Anybody who actually believes that they are going to maintain a .821 winning % is smoking the good stuff. If they get 5 out of 10 points in those 5 games without Fox and Chytil that would be more than acceptable. It's a long season and there will be rough periods but I guarantee you there will be people bitching if they lose Saturday. It won't matter that they are 9-0-1 in their last 10.
