OT: Things to see in Toronto?

Coming to visit HHOF for next weekend, is there anything else strongly recommended to see apart from the Niagara Falls and 99's restaurant? Not very much into high culture, unless there's something that simply can't be missed. Thanks for any tips in advance.

Personally I like taking friends/family that come to visit to the St. Lawrence Market and the Brewery District. If youre going to Niagara Falls, there are plenty of wineries around there worth visiting as well.

Head down to the Beaches (Queen Street East) that whole strip is full of nice pubs and beautiful scenery. Everybody outside of Toronto loves to complain about how busy and congested it is but they have no idea about the beauty this city has. Walk along the boardwalk with your wife/gf if you have one and enjoy the nice weather. Also head down to the Harbourfront, you can check out a Jays game if they're at home that week. Just a few suggestions

CN Tower, Rogers center, city hall, walk along Yonge between Queen and Bloor (3km). From there walk along Bloor to Yorkville and Hazleton lane(2km). Walk along Queens quay (harbourfront)(2km). Visit Ontario Place and the exhibition grounds. Visit Chinatown (Spadina and Dundas) That should give you a pretty good idea of what the city is like.

best to do the Yonge, bloor, Yorkville walk in the evening when everything is all lit up.

If you're into big houses drive along Bridle Path, Post road area.

there might be a marlies game when you are here. you'd get to see granberg, the future nhler. etc.

also, the tfc might be fun to watch and you should be able to get tickets.

are you coming with family? friends? gf?

there are a lot of amazing restaurants. I'd recommend the queen street area for pubs, kensington market, st. lawrence market.
yorkville is fun to walk through.

chinatown is fine, and castle loma is ok, although i know there are bigger in europe. if you are coming with a chic, she might like the zoo.

maybe catching a film here, since some releases might be sooner.

if you have a car, there are areas within 2 hours where hiking is decent or some nice small towns like elora or creemore.

Stroll through Kensington on a sunday afternoon. There are few finer pleasures.

Take in a baseball game at the Rogers Centre and watch the Blue Jays lose to the Angels

Ripley's Aquarium!

Ripley's Aquarium!

This is a good idea.

Ripley's Aquarium has some pretty cool marine life. It is at the base of the CN Tower so you can litterally go to the CN Tower take a trip up there and see the entire skyline of Toronto.

Then go back down to the base of the CN Tower and take in Ripley's Aquarium.

Also, the Steam Whistle Brewery is located around the CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium. Steam Whistle has tours of the brewery if you like beer. The brewery is located in a historic railroad building which is cool to do the tour, taste some decent Toronto beer if you are into drinking beer.

If you're into rollercoasters, Canada's Wonderland opens starting next weekend, located just north of Toronto and it's Canada's largest theme/amusement park.

Both are about a 30 minute drive outside the city (without traffic). There are buses if you don't have a car.
