Nice! Looks like we'll carry an extra goalie on the active roster so that Berdin can be released from the taxi squad to play for the Moose full time.

He is the Comrie replacement in the system to get on the main roster if one of Helle/Brossoit are hurt.

Nope. Can swap a skater in there if they want.

No. You either need 3 on the active roster or 2 on the active roster and 1 on the taxi squad.

Just in case there's a last minute COVID/Injury issue you have to have an extra one around this year. He'll never play a single minute IMO.

He's been claimed twice so far and Edmonton still needs a 3rd goalie so we can't put him on waivers. He'll stay on the active roster but with the taxi squad it doesn't really matter this year. We have guys to call on if there are injuries.

He had a down season last season, but other than that he has been a good AHL goalie and a meh NHL goalie, unlike Comrie who has been an okay AHL goalie and an awful NHL goalie.

Plus, he's Swedish, and you can never have enough Swedes.

Edmonton will grab Forsberg as soon as they can - their goalie depth has just been blown out of the water
