I'm an NC State fan (yay ACC), and I've got some distant family that root for Clemson, so I'm happy tonight.

We have some family who live in Greenville who are all Gamecock fans except for one lonely Tiger. And then I have a friend who has family in Columbia who are Tigers, except one who is a Gamecock. I don't know how this is possible but it is.

Bama kept it close for the first quarter or so, but holy ****, when was the last time they got blasted like this?

14 points or more since 01/02/2014 (Oklahoma)
15 points or more since 9/30/2006 (Florida)
16 points or more since 11/13/2004 (LSU
17 points or more since 9/25/2004 (Arkansas)
24 points or more since 11/15/2003 (LSU)
28 points or more since 12/29/1998 (Virginia Tech)
(also worst loss for a Saban coached team since 10/6/2001 against Florida, where LSU lost 44-15)

So, if you exclude the OU game a few years ago ... a really f***ing long time.

I mean, there's no way that one was ever going to be denied

Like, I get the NCAA not wanting to touch the race aspect of it (as dubious as it was) with a ten foot pole, but they just created a horrible precedent. Also, they kinda just admitted that UGA is an unsafe institution for black athletes, which is total nonsense, as they handled that issue as best they could.

I don't like the precedent it sets either, but the optics of them denying a racial based claim like this would be unbelievably bad. There's just no way it would have gone over.

The true test to me will be Martell's claim. If it goes through based on a coaching change, the floodgates open.
