I don't understand thoses wins, why they don't fight like this in the first 60 games? We are young but still, these victories at the end of the season hurt..I really wanted a top 5 but at the same time the guys play well and seems to play as a team. With a healthy Kirby Dach this team is really interesting. Hutson-Mailloux-Reinbacher are coming too. Winnipeg lost again tonight and there are many teams that are close to them now but damn please mtl top 6-7 we need it!

Leafs win. Oilers on track to win. Jets lose. That is a very good thing.

Just need Arizona and Seattle to win and the night is virtually a wash. Even if Arizona loses....Nashville gains on Winnipeg. Ideally a three point game in that one.

Calgary lose wasn't good. But I don't feel like we catch them.

I would say we're clearly out of reach of Columbus at this point. Arizona is starting to be doubtful. We could actually still pass 5 teams and draft 11th. Technically more but I can't imagine we win 100% of our games and other teams lose 100% of theirs.
Extremely unlikely. I hate when people do that. 6 points at this time of the years is a huge difference. We would basically need to win almost all our games. People forget that despite 3 wins in row we still have only 4 wins in our last 10. The goalies will have bad games they wont give 0 or 1 goals all games it's not the dead puck era anymore. Let's say Buffalo is 3-6 in their last 9 games (they are 5-5 in their last 10) that means we need 12 points to pass them so we must be 6-4 to pass them which is significantly better than our last 10 despite the 3 wins streak.

We only need 3 points to move to 9th, 5 to 10th. When Calgary are losing 5 in a row it's not that impossible a feat. We've gone a few years without a real win streak but they're not impossibilities.

You said pass 5 teams which implies passing Buffalo and Pens. You are overreacting here imo. We need 7 more points than the pens to pass them with only 10 games to go. Do the math it's unrealistic to expect that to happen.

Wouldn’t be so certain. Three points away from 9th. I expect we will pass all of Seattle, Calgary, and Ottawa over the next 7-10 days.
You are expecting all those teams to lose most of their games and us to wins most of them. This is honestly ridiculous.

Here's the amount of points in the last 10 games :

Ottawa 14 points
Pens 10 points
Buffalo 10 points
Mtl 10 points
Arizona 10 points
Seattle 6 points
Calgary 4 points

People panic every time we line yup 2-3 wins it's honestly ridiculous. There's 10 games remaining unless our goalies keep giving 2 goals and less every games which in today's NHL is almost unheard of it's not happening. Some of those teams will wins too they wont all lose all their games. My recommendation to you guys is don't go to the casino you'll end up with no money.

At least the Jets lost. That 1st is looking better and better.

But the Flames lost again. They're scaring me. They're looking like they're going to go full rebuild, and if they do and finish bottom 10 next year, our 1st next year's is Florida's.

Edit: just noticed Arizona beating Nashville by 2. how the f is that happening? Can their lead really last?

Maybe a psychic told some hockey teams that the lottery will be won by either the 7th or 8th worst team this season, because Ottawa, Montreal, and now Arizona all seem to be putting up a fight meanwhile Calgary and Buffalo's doing everything to lose.

Well, Buffalo is slumping again. Somehow, we're back to within 5 points of them with a game in hand. They looked uncatchable not that long ago.

We're 3 points from Calgary & Seattle.

We definitely won't catch the Pens. They're 6 pts up.

I do expect Seattle to beat Anaheim tonight putting them 5 pts up, which really should do it.

Sabres are at Devils tomorrow night. If they lose that game, we'll hold 2 games in hand. I actually see Buffalo completely shitting the bed down the stretch. Every game after NJ game is a playoff team.

Oh, oh, 4-3.

Arizona scored 2 goals in exactly 60 seconds. I swear I looked away for like 90 seconds looked back & it was 4-2. I was, like, wth?

Nyqvist scores 2 minutes later to get Nashville within one.
