Check in the BIOS if there's an option to boot from the USB port, if there is, you're all set.

What are you trying to do? What is going on with the computer? Not starting? Not booting to Windows? Windows is trying to boot but crashes every times?

Edit: Also, is it a laptop or a desktop?

You're trying to re-install Windows from the USB not run it, right? Otherwise, just buy another PC, there are good used machines out there.

Hard drive dead, just like my laptop. I thought id just do the samr thing I did previously, but now the OS install CD doesnt boot amything

Dead hard drive should mean you have to get a new hard drive to re-install windows on that computer.

Yeah, no, Windows is not slow, computers are, get a good computer or a SSD and Windows won't be slow.

Pretty much. I've used both Mac OS and Windows 10 with SSD, and they're both extremely fast.

What message do you get when you try to boot on the install CD?

Id have to check for the correct message but its something along the lines of cpu not recognizing any os, insert os cd... Press any key... When i press a key it just runs and goes back to the same previous message.

Thats what i thought also, but even shifting the startup in bios wont do anything. Unless im doing it wrong somehow.

you must either boot in the bios and change the boot order so that it boots on the dvd drive first or

boot on the boot menu and pick the dvd drive, boot menu is ESC on Asus, F12 on Acer/Gateway/IBM/Lenovo/Dell, ESC or F9 on HP.
