Lou is pissed off. I love what he's doing with this team. Shaping up to be very complete.

Also, while this FA class wasn't very appetizing a week ago, a lot of really solid players changed teams today. Didn't realize how many there were.

Clowe is still a very big question mark due to his concussion history. They don't just vanish, you know. Even if he's 100%.

Honestly, I'd just be happy with some picks right now.
If Douglas Murray can fetch 2 2nds, one of ours can pick up something.
Maybe not net that return - but it'd be nice to restock some picks for a draft where we most likely won't have a first.

Even if not to draft, they can be used as assets to acquire some finishing touches to the line up.

I'd be perfectly fine with that. But I have no idea who would take anything for our old and busted defencemen.

No way Gionta goes down. He's earned his spot. Great PK:er too.

If he stays in the NHL we cannot be misusing him so horribly at center, his faceoff percentage is like 30%ish.

He's fine as a rotational player on the 4th line providing one of Carter/Josefson is the center on that line, but i don't think he should be an every game player personally. He brings a lot of heart and energy which is nice, but he does have some glaring deficiencies to his game as well. He may just be a numbers casualty because of the fact the second year of his deal was 2-way; he'd be the number one call up from Albany though. He'll probably see some time in both the NHL and AHL this year.

Barch is as good as gone though.

I take that to mean they're looking to either move salary and some defensemen in order to bring someone back/in (Zidlicky), or perhaps move multiple ones and bring in a puck-mover that way (non-Zidlicky).
