Winning the 3rd overall pick wouldn’t be sand in the face. It would be amazing. I bet Filip Zadina would walk right in next season and break Clayton Keller’s shiny new franchise goals by a rookie record. 24g 21a 45pt is believable.

Agreed on Zadina, kid's probably the best pure goal scorer of the draft. I want Dahlin, Svech, Zadina, or Tkachuk in that order.

I will be really bummed if we bounce lower than that, but I would be happy to pick Wahlstrom at 5.

I will be super pissed if we pick 6th, but I would be good with taking Boqvist there. I don't want Bouchard to be honest, reminds me too much of defensemen that look really good in junior, but don't translate. I could be way off and I hope he has an awesome NHL career anyway, but just my 2 cents. The others around that area I hope we don't take just for the fact that I hope we pick higher than where we are slated to go.

I wont black out this year like the McDavid year and last year (shock of dropping four spots because of Vegas and by who jumped us was pretty upsetting). Matthews year was not good, but not bad as we were already 7th so my expectations were lower.

Yes. Depending on how the defensemen fall, there should be guys like Barzal still available who will be long gone by 10, imo.

I know he hasn't lit it up this year, but I'd still be happy with Barzal when all is said and done.

Voting for Strome despite my historical preference for the smaller, super-skilled, high motor player. But I'm in absolute horse-trading asset maximization mode at this point in time: if we can trade down 1-2 spots and pick up some good assets for a team coveting Hanifin, I'm all for it. Heck, I'm willing to trade down little further than that to pick up Barzal.
