Good hockey we bring to you and your kin. We wish you a merry world juniors and a happy new year!

After having taken a break last year due to the chaotic nature of the build-up to the tournament and just a lack of time from my side the WJC fantasy draft returns this year. Take a break from the Flyers general suckiness and instead spend your holidays getting annoyed that your German 10th round pick isn't producing the numbers promised by posters in the WJC forum.

The last tournament was won by PALE PWNR and the thread for that edition can be found here: Fantasy Sports: - 7th Annual Flyers Board WJC Fantasy Draft Pool - PALE PWNR is the CHAMPION!

At most 10 players and so far we have a few returning players but spaces are still open. Depending on the number of players who wants to play we'll adjust the number of picks each player makes accordingly, to not bloat roster too much. That will be updated prior to the draft starting.

[Coffe]

Rules of the game

Points
1 point for goal or assist.
+ 1 additional point if scored SH.
Wins for a goalie are 2 points.
+ 2 additional points if awarded a shutout. In case of a 0-0 game going to the shootout both goalies will be awarded a shutout.


Draft
10 round snake draft where each player picks:
6 Forwards
3 Defencemen
1 Goaltender


Replacements
If you happen to draft a player who gets cut or injured prior to the start of the tournament and can't participate you will be able to replace him when the regular draft is done. Replacements will be made in the order the injured/cut players where picked.
If a player is injured during the tournament, he can be replaced. Any accumulated point totals by the replacement player prior to the replacement of the injured player will not be added to your score. I.e Player A gets injured and is replaced by Player B, who up to the time of the replacement has 4 points. These 4 points will not be included in your score.

To anyone thinking about joining that feels like they may not know enough about the prospects to participate or make a team, just know that I know jack shit about following prospects. I go to the prospects board and look at other peoples drafts and find cool names to pick out that may or may not play well. To me it just makes following the tournament more interesting and giving me something to be invested in, in it.

I have done the draft order and it shook out in the following way. The site I used had a minimum of 8 teams so the 8th team is either @Magua or nothing.

In anyway @FLYguy3911 has the honor of picking first.

We will have a 12 hour clock that pauses between midnight and 8AM eastern. If needed this will be shortened for later rounds in case we have to speed up.

I don't want to use a clock on the first round picks so don't skip anyone in the first round.

Please send a PM to the next player. Tagging someone does not always send them a notification.
