Terrible news. One of the greatest ever. If you look up his matches on YouTube, you'll see a wrestler who was way ahead of his time. Which is probably why he was able to stay relevant in his later years with younger fans as the business changed.

His ability to work the fans, both in the ring and on the mic, was legendary. His work should be mandatory viewing for all wrestlers.

Only knowing him from his ECW and WWE days it's a little crazy to me that he was in movies and commercials before his time in those organizations. I had no idea he was the type of person that would be considered for those roles. It is a testament to the person and wrestler he was back in the day. He certainly left his mark on the industry and an impression on generations of wrestlers.
