Teams that compete in the Allan Cup

I'm pretty sure an ECHL team would crush an Allen Cup team. From what I've seen the Allen Cup is basically a beer-league trophy at this point for guys who clearly love hockey but aren't good enough to pursue a professional career.

Couldn't be more wrong with the Beer League comment. Look at the rosters for any Allan Cup team and you will see 95% have at least played CHL and CIS with many playing minor pro as well.

It's a trophy for players who still want competitive hockey and is taken very seriously. All the players have full time jobs is the major difference from ECHL. Level of play would be very comparable.

Allan Cup hockey is very enjoyable, but no, the level of play is absolutely not comparable.
