I like Outlaws but feel it’s too old timey for Smith’s vision of what SLC is today. Nowadays it’s the “Silicon Slopes”.

Figure out a way to make “The Mighty 5’s” work. With the Parks they have in that state, it would be kind of nice if they could figure it out.
Maybe use a bighorn sheep, or a gray fox in the logo or something.

This went live just now, for the record. They ask you for your name, e-mail address, then after the poll, if you're interested in putting down a $100 deposit towards tickets.
I hate that. Just a dumb move. How can you build a brand when you don't have a brand? Any of the options in the bracket are better than nothing. We're going to be mocked for this and fully deserve it.
Edit: Hopefully, at the least, the name is selected and it's just needing more time to figure out a logo. This can be acceptable if we're the Utah Yeti (or whatever name) and the jersey just says Utah. But we still have an actual name.

Note that Raptors, Golden Eagles, Grizzlies, and Stags (though Caribou is there) did not make the list, and those were four of the more popular names I was seeing.

Out of those, only Stags wouldn’t have local team name issues. Still, I’m not upset about the caribou.
I like Black Diamonds but there are at least a half dozen on that list that would be good imo.

All the options suck. Blizzard is the best of the choices available. Silly they will use PWHL jerseys for 2024-2025. Embarrassing. Utah Lakes would be a reasonable option.
In fairness on the PWHL, it works for them because the entire league is doing it this season. Utah doing it for an entire year is silly, I agree.
