Team Doctors?

From the nutrition factor with Price, to the misdiagnosis on Weber's ankle to Schlemko's hand injury in camp makes me wonder if we need a change in team doctors? How could they miss so much? And, how many others players are under performing due to our doctors?

Weber is the worst one. He hasn't played since November, one has to wonder if our doctors found the ligament earlier if surgery would have been done earlier. Allowing him to return and be in great shape next fall? Sounds like our doctors didn't do their due diligence blaming it solely on the fracture. To make it worse, Weber seeked a second opinion with a Toronto doctor. Then went to Green Bay for surgery. I get the opinion he doesn't have total confidence in our doctors.

The Price nutrition, Price hasn't been himself all year. Was nutrition a factor? Was it a factor in his fatigue this season? Or is a factor in him being consistently injured? Is it connected to his 2 month slump last season? How deep is our doctor problem?

It's fairly common for players to seek out specialists. I'd imagine the team even suggests it. Crosby sought out concussion experts for example, which wasn't a shot at the Pittsburgh staff.

The only question is not whether they find everything or not but if they send the player to the right external experts quickly enough. I wouldn't know, I'm not in medical field.

We really don't know if its the team's medical team or its general management (effective lines of communication, reasonable access, etc.). What's going on right now though seems weird though.
