Who will be on Team Canada next year

Goalie

Price will probably be the #1. Who will be his backup?

Defence

It's pretty well set. You have the five returning players: Russel, Bourdon, Parent, Staal and Letang. Mikkelson will probably make the team as well. If he wasn't injured he most likely would have got the #7 defenceman this year. That leaves one defenceman to make the team.

Forwards

There are six spots open for fowards. Setoguchi should make the team as well as Little. Brassard, Esposito, Sheppard Staal and Tavares should also get consideration.

If no one makes the jump to the NHL this team will be very strong and for some players it will be very hard to crack.

Defencemen

Marc Staal
Luc Bourdon
Kristopher Letang
Ryan Parent
Kris Russell
Brendan Mikkelson
Scott Jackson

Forwards

Daniel Bertram
Andrew Cogliano
Steve Downie
Guillaume Latendresse
Ryan O'Marra
Tom Pyatt
Jonathan Toews
Derick Brassard
Angelo Esposito
Bryan Little
Devon Setoguchi
Gilbert Brule
Kenndal Mccardle

Obviously some of these guys will be playing in the NHL next year at this time. I'd say Staal, Bourdon, and Brule are the most likely candidates to be playing in the big league next year especially since Brule was playing with Columbus this year already but he is an 87 birthdate and if he was able to play next year would be an elite player in all likelihood. The team should be very, very strong next year along with the Americans so long as they don't lose too many of their stars (Johnson, Johnson, Kessel, Ryan) to the big league.
