It's Tampa, though. They somehow always find a way without severely hurting their team, probably because like Vegas, all of their players are locked up on fair deals and are easily tradeable for good picks.

I really doubt Yzerman would have signed Vasi to this kind of deal. He's worth it for the time being but I don't know about 8 years.
