Paging Drs. Lundqvist and Nash, paging Drs. Lundqvist and Nash. We need our best players to be our best players in game 7. No more bad goals from Lundqvist and let's have Nash show that he's a playoff performer with another goal. Scoring in 3 out of 7 games in the ECF isn't too much to ask of the team's offensive leader. But if playoff specialists Brass, Kreider and Hagelin knock in a couple, won't hurt either.

Lundqvist is rocking a .900 SV% and 3.16 GAA this series. Definitely one of his weakest playoff series in his career. That being said, a good display in game 7 can easily alleviate away from that.

Win the last game of the Play Offs. That's the only thing that matters.

He hasn't done much since the 1st round. Now, I blame that partly on MSL, but heck, a goal here or there would be nice.

Big day sports wise for me. Favorite football team plays to avoid relegation from the 3rd Austrian league. Have to win and hope for the stars to align.

Then obviously a Game 7 showdown.

Gonna be a lot of booze tomorrow.

Hard to point fingers at Hank considering the brunt of the goals against came in 2 games. That being said, he did basically lose Game 3 for the team, so you know he's motivated to make sure that doesn't haunt him.

If my memory serves me correctly, we are 15-3 in elimination games (losses to NJD, BOS and LAK) dating back to the 2011-12 season.

3-1 in 11-12 (2x OTT, 1x WSH)
3-1 in 12-13 (2x WSH, 1x BOS)
5-1 in 13-14 (1x PHI, 3x PIT, 1x LAK)
4-0 in 14-15 (3x WSH, 1x TB)

No matter the result tomorrow, that's a sign of a very good, very resilient hockey team.

Make it 16-3. Go get 'em, boys!

i think Henke's lower stats for this series has to do with the chances that the bolts were gifted from a lot of those miscommunications and blown tires at the blue line that our defenders and St. Louis have committed. Bolts have gotten so many rushes and breakaways this series. I can't blame Henke for that.

Also, Tampa IMO is the strongest offensive team in the league. Pair both of those factors together and its expected if a goalie's stats aren't going to be as good as they usually are. Tampa has a nuclear offense.

regardless, Henke has this switch that he's able to turn on in these super high pressure games. He''s gonna have a big game on Friday I'd bet.

yes. Between Stamkos, Johnson and Kucherov, there's a shooting skill in this team that is unseconded in the league. Most teams have one guy who can wire it like that, TB has three.

Yeah and thats a great sign.

OTOH, its a darn fine line we are walking. A game like this can be very hard to win but very easy to loose if you get what I mean. Hank isn't on, the PK struggles, penalties, defensive gaffs, get a goal against you and collpase, whatever can easily loose you this game. OTOH its extremely hard to play like a PP so "good" that it wins you a game (unless Tampa scews up).

Like if we win tonight the Washington series is long forgotten. But that G7, total coin flip. Washington played us real well. We can "win" this game, if we can get to Bishop. If we can score a goal and the nerves get Tampa. If we get 2-3 bounces. Something like that. But if Tampa plays real well, if Bishop plays like he has most of the games, its a coin flipat best. Its not like we are just going to show up and run over them.

What scares me a bit is that we can live on Hank, if we can contain the other team somewhat. Tampa has been real good on getting on the inside of us. Hank can't be expected to shut down shooters point blanc if they get time and space. We can expose Tampa's Ds somewhat too, but on away ice they will take away more ice and it feels like its a bit harder for us to force goals.

But a coinflip is good for us, we got experience with them. But I don't think this is a game we can expect to just go out and "win".

Honestly if they just stay out of the box as much as they can outside of the few soft calls that are bound to happen, they should win this. At this point I think they have figured out and mitigated every other Tampa advantage. If the defense could not gift wrap them odd-man rushes and breakaways that would be great as well. Although that is asking a lot.

How bad do you want it Henrik?

Shutting down the triplets should be the most important thing (how can you get to such a stupid nickname for a line?)

Hopefully Hank shows a good performance.. and some lucky bounces in the offensive zone.
It's one of the most stupid things I've heard in sports! What the hell does it even mean anyway?

I'm not watching this game. Shut up! Didn't watch those games where the Rangers had their backs to the wall, and look where we are now! Yeah, I'm superstitious. Superstitious and ****ing nervous!

I will just say the Rangers better have a plan and a backup plan for Tampa because they are going to play the same way that they did in Game 5. Also, stay the **** out of the box! Questionable hits, let them slide.

This series has been so unpredictable, it's not even funny.

Rangers win game 1 (barely), so you figure they'll make adjustments looking to win more handily, next game at home. No
Game 2 Tampa counterpunches, punches and punch some more. Knockout. Tampa looks to be the better team.
Game 3. The only game where one may have went with Tampa, based on last game.
Game 4. With series in their grasp, they come up with a dud, as Rangers simply outclassed them
Game 5. You have to think momentum would be with Rangers coming home.......nope, TB beats the Rangers at their own game. Playing close to the vest, and were more patient then the Rangers, getting the 1st goal which apparently was all that was needed.
Game 6. Tampa had won with both styles and a chance to close it out. Nope. Rangers backs to the wall is not a good thing for opposing teams.

Game 7. What will be in store next? Both teams have won in close, tight checking games and in run and gun style. Both teams have won in convincing fashion. Both teams have won at home and away.

You'd have to be crazy to think you KNOW what will happen in game 7. One would have to surmise this to be a close to the vest 2-1 or 3-2 game, maybe even OT based on the live or die situation, it "should be" a close game.

With all that said.......I say we blow TB out 5-0, just like game 7 vs Craps 2 years ago. Get the early lead and don't allow the Bolts to think even for a minute, that Lightning can strike 3x in the same place. Just call me crazy Larry
