Was a big fan of his during his time in Edmonton. Unfortunate that he came on right when the team just hired the worst coach/GM tandem maybe ever assembled. Glad to see he's doing well. Would take him on my team any day.

Anyone who bashed this signing is a complete idiot.

No matter what your opinion of the guy is, signing a 28-year old, 50-point player to a 2-year deal worth 3.7 mil per season was never, ever a bad move. He plays a complete game these days too.

People on here love to bash signings for any reason they can find though. Wonder where billybudd is at, bet he will avoid this thread at all costs.
