Bit of a difference from last year, playing to expectations from other years. He's on pace for 15-ish goals and 55-ish points, which is normal production for him.

Oh it's definitely normal production from him, I fully expected him to more like he did in years 1 and 2 with us rather than last year. Maybe that is why I am not as disappointed as others.

Did anyone manage to figure out why he got a penalty on that play?

The only explanation I could come up with was bad positioning by the refs. The replay showed he clearly shouldn't have gotten the call, but it may have looked otherwise from a different vantage point.

Also, what game were the refs watching?

Had an excellent game tonight IMO. He was quite dangerous 3 on 3.

Yep. And who knows, throw in one hot streak at some point and all of a sudden he is around 60 points, where most of us hoped he would be.
