Doesn't Reinhart play significant minutes ok the PK?

Just over 2 mins a game, 7th most on Panthers roster.
Kind of surprised he edged out Barkov by a few seconds to be honest.

Stamkos is almost P/PG, and he's a 3rd liner?
I would guess that TBL will be happy to take him back, but have a ceiling and term on what they will pay. NMC will be part of the discussion. Stamkos would be wanted by many teams, but he will likely want to go to a Cup contender, and how many of those have the cap space to beat TBL's offer?

Reinhart would have to be crazy to leave FLA, where everything is working for him, after escaping BUF, where everything wasn't. Still, FLA have to sign him, Montour, Lundell(RFA), and get some D help. I certainly can't see them paying 10M(Barkov), and would hope to get him for a number under 9M/yr. A lot depends on his, and the team's, post season success. Maybe he goes somewhere else for the $$, but is a team going to pay him Marner money? I don't think so?

Is Reinhart a product of Florida’s PP or is the PP for the panthers a product of Reinhart? Not even looking at anything else at the moment. But I’m wondering if a PP starved team would be in the hunt for him.

Bolts should move on from Stamkos, he doesn't really do anything. Him and Tavares are in the same boat, older veteran guys that put up decent points but for the most part are non impact players. If he re-signs super cheap like 5M or so sure bring him back, if he wants to be paid like a star they are better off without him.

All comes down to what Stamkos wants. If it’s more cups/playoff runs Chicago is completely off the table.

If it’s money and fit, maybe he’d consider the Bedard mentor role. Probably a long shot.

One things for sure, if it’s money, Hawks could offer him 2-3 years at around or even higher than his current cap hit with almost zero consequences.

Is this a joke?? Why don't you just admit you don't watch the team or the player instead of just reading stats?
Right. At 30 goals, he had 15 on the PP and 15 even strength. He’s still a very productive player even strength.

The problem is obviously his age and Tampa may feel it’s time to reallocate his money. They’ll have to come to a mutual agreement on less years, or he’s likely to do what Pavelski and Kane has now done.

He’ll find a team he feels comfortable finishing his career with, and just keep signing contracts with that team after the initial 2-3 year deal. Which will likely be Detroit or Dallas. In fact, if he does leave Tampa, and doesn’t end up in Detroit next year, a lot of people will be surprised.

Stamkos takes a league min in Toronto to stick it to Tampa, Toronto becomes a #Dynasty and the cup returns to it's rightful place #HockeyMecca

Stamkos has 35 ES points this year. He's a very good PP specialist, but his 5v5 play has been kind of 3rd line ish, honestly.

This is going to be a very strange, tough decision. I think Stamkos is going to have to take far less than his market value to stay, because we really need to get better 5v5. His PP goals will be missed for sure, but I'd be okay with a top-10 PP rather than #1 in the league if we could also be a top-10 team 5v5 again.

His numbers can get him a very big contract, but he really is a very, very good PP specialist right now.

in case people are wondering the Panthers have 27 million in cap space for the 2025 season. (if the cap is 88 million)

that said they need to fill the void for 11 players.

as for Stamkos not sure what will happen.

I expect the Pens to be in on one of these guys. They cleared tons of cap with Guentzel being traded and Carter mercifully retiring. That cap will go somewhere. They want to get younger and build the prospect pool, so big trades are probably a no go. They want to compete until Crosby retires though, so I do expect them to spend to the cap every year. Reinhart especially would fit the bill but I'd take Stammer just to fix the anemic power play.

Stamkos has been signing organization friendly contracts for years in an effort to allow Tampa to sign the support roster to get Cups, which worked.\
Stamkos is now looking at what may be his last contract and will be looking to get paid as well as getting another legit shot at a Cup. This is something the Lightning cannot provide with so much Cap space tied into a handful of players, most of whom badly underperformed given the high value contracts they have.

None of Tampa's higher value contracts "badly underperformed". A couple of guys dealt with injuries this season, and there are a couple of contracts that aren't great on the lower end(Sheary, Jeannot) that should be moved. If Stamkos wants just the bag, great, I'm sure there's a team that will pay him 8 or even 9, but if he wants to really retire a Bolt, he can still likely get a 4 year deal worth another 25-28 million in total. I don't see him leaving Tampa for a lesser team just for an extra million or so per season..if JBB makes the moves they need to make, there is enough room for Stamkos, Duclair or another F, and even an RD upgrade over Perbix. Maybe all Stamkos cares about is max aav, but I doubt it. He's made a lot of money to this point, and even taking a little less.than market value, he'll still make alot more while getting to finish his career in Tampa and allowing the team to remain as competitive as possible with extra space to address depth.

i hope these guys pull a Selanne and Kariya and sign in the same place. Would be sweet if it was somewhere odd like Arizona.

Wouldn't be surprised if Utah scoops up at least two of the top free agents. They're gonna make a splash.

Stamkos I think will finish his career in Tampa Bay. They drafted him and he has been nothing but faithful to the franchise. He has never struck me as wanting all the attention and he has won his cups and really doesn't have much to prove. He could now play a mentoring role for the inevitable rebuild. 16 years should count for something on both sides.

But then what do I know. I thought Kane would spend his whole career in Chicago. I think the difference is that Kane's cup wins were many years removed whereas Stamkos' were more recent.
