His potential, his skill set, weaknesses, wherehe might go in the draft...
Here is my take on him.
Assets: blazing speed and good acceleration that allows him to make end-to-end rushes, nice puckmoving skills, a constant threat on the PP, tough to beat in one-on-one situations, decent in his own end for a guy of his size.
Weaknesses: will have to add a few more pounds IMO and make harder players in the defensive end in order to be a more complete blueliner.
Potential: a solid all-around d-man whose bread and butter will be at quarterbacking the powerplay. Think Kimmo Timonen perhaps?
I think he'll go top 10 in the draft.
Isn't he a forward?
No. Sanguinetti is an offensive-minded blueliner.
ah, ok..hockeydb.com has him listed as a RW, thats what threw me off.
Excellent shot, great skater, good hand, altogether a great offensive d-man.
His defensive play needs work, especially taking the man and one on one situations.
Has top 10 talent for sure, I think he'll go 12-15.
hmm similar to liles perhaps?
