I am a teacher and we don’t have to make up days when the governor declares a state of emergency. I got my bread and almond milk and was ready for a warm fire and a good book. Now I’m doing laundry and getting ready for a normal Monday instead (when I’m sure the surrounding counties will all be shut down).

All I know is I’m praying for a snow day at work tomorrow and I’m doubtful we’ll get one.
If we continue to have no power at home, I’m praying I can get to work.
I’m at work praying to go home. We’ve been open 2.5 hours and have made ~$100.

We are North of 85 here...so many power flickers I’m keeping all my electronics off for a while.

I Wonder why, in 2018, we still have such a weak, feeble power grid?
In my neighborhood and surrounding , there are no above ground lines. I've lost power here once in 3 years.
Maybe it's time for the utility companies here to fix this issue?

Meanwhile, in Maine it's sunny and cold (about 25, up from 2 overnight). No snow for nearly two weeks, and none forecast for the coming week. I can see the ground, which is pretty rare this time of year.
What part of Maine? Both my parents grew up there and my grandmother still lives up in Aroostic county.
Central-ish, about an hour or so north of Portland. Not anywhere near The County, tho.
