Expecting another great night from the top line. They get matched against Pominville and Hodgeson (Vanek in?), and....gg.

Looking forward to a nice beatdown. Team is going to have a chip on their shoulder now, everybody's saying the season is over because of Wardo being out.

........on second thought, 16-4 Sabres.

2-3 overtime loss.

E. Staal and Dwyer with the goals.

Sangs blows a two on one in OT for the loss.

This game reminds me of the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Scorpion"

With the Sabres playing the part of the Borg and us playing the part of Species 8472.

If that's truly the case, I fully expect a 14-0 win. (discounting Federation interference that is)

Looks like we'll get to see if Peters is ready to step up or not right away.

Automatic loss

And thats not a joke... Peters is terrible

If Ellis is hurt, thats the end of the season. We cannot win games with Peters in net. If he's out for any length of time, its time to pack up and plan for next year cause we just don't have enough competence in net to content, regardless of the rest of the team.

If Ellis is hurt, re-sign Semin, and just unload players like Jussi and LaRose and try to get something for the future. No sense in trying to push for the playoffs when you have Peters in net nightly.

Peters was 2-3-2 with .931 SV% and 2.48 GAA last season. Not terrible. I have been harsh on him in the past but still think he has the ability to be a NHL backup.

Please tell me there was a 'j/k..lololololol' behind that?

Possibly :sarcasm:

I'm cautiously optimistic. He played alright last season (at least better than the season before) and seems like the organization seems to think he's having his best year in Charlotte as well. He doesn't have to be THE man now, that's on Ellis.

Not surprised. Ellis is ill and wasn't at 100% against the Cats. I have close to zero trust in Pete Dawg but I hope he can prove me wrong here.

Last time Peters faced the Slugs he gave up 4 goals in 29 minutes. Gonna be a long night if he does in fact start. It actually could get ugly. I hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't trust him when he's in net.
