Interesting to see Dietz, Finally. I think he adds a lot to the team Kazakhstan chances of winning this match.

Finally Kazakhs are kinda sorta playing up to their potential.
They are shooting themselves in the foot by playing only two exhibition games before the tournament. Yes, they had to cancel games against Russia, but still they should have tried to arrange something. To me it feels they are improving with each period played, which you know, kind of makes sense when for some players season ended months ago.

Can Pospisil be benched now?
Our play-by-play guy (he followed Pospisil in Liiga since he calls those games as well) commented that Pospisil had trouble staying out of the box and keeping his head at the game. Thats one of the reasons he was let go from Lukko who were the champs 2020-2021 season.

Just lost control of himself

Slovakia played like they don’t respect the Kazakhs - players trying to beat the entire Kazakh team by themselves, playing the PK to score a goal and not defend one, bad penalties. They got punished in the first, but the game is still long.
