Marty Turco's number being retired wouldn't be the worst thing. Was a top 3 goalie for 3 years and holds almost all their goalie records.

Nope, none of them. Next question
Came here to say this after viewing the list and thought for some of the guys listed "really WTF?"

I mean Carbs and his 5 years as the 4th line center.....really?

Gave a vote to Marty Turco as the most deserving, but mainly because he's been their most prominent goalie career-wise. Belfour obviously won a cup there, but he only spent 5 years in town and wasn't very good towards the end when Turco the then-backup was basically lapping him for two seasons.

People really overlooking Hatcher here. I’m kinda surprised his number isn’t already retired.

Captain for 8 years, won a Cup, made back-to-back finals. Consistently one of the top shutdown defensemen in the league. 3rd in Norris voting in 2003.
Thats a good point. He was with Dallas as long as Zubov was. Zubov generally got more Norris votes but it's not a humongous gap.

Damn, not even JOE?
Stars fans are not fans of retiring jerseys. Guess they don't wanna be like Avs and Ray.

slightly off topic but wish teams would stop retiring jerseys completely. Just honor the player and put a jersey in the rafters. Would rather see these numbers still worn. For the Caps, 7 will never be worn again. Nothing against Labre, but .................................
