Ah yes, can't wait to see the reboot of the Montreal Canadiens. It'll be like the Fantastic Four reboot, only that had talent.
Looks like you're in the wrong board, my friend...

Agreed great news for the tank and gives Weber rest , his body has A LOT of miles on it . Hopefully he comes back next year refreshed .Best news we've had in weeks.
Hopefully there aren't long term structural issues with his foot & he comes back next year benefitting from the 10 month break.
Says something about how low the franchise has sunk.
Bubble team at best. But at least it wouldn't be the keystone cops in our own zone the way it's been.Probably not good enough to make the post-season still. With Markov, Radulov and Sergachev though... probably.

I don't put Weber in the elite class of blueliners. He's limited in what he can do. But at the very least he's a steady presence and he's not a disaster in his own zone. And he's also got a great shot that we could desperately use.
At the end of the day though, he'd have made us a bubble team at best. This team is broken now and it's time to move on from this core.
Should habs make this a hossa moment and try to bury the contract forevaaaa? Is this guy becoming more and more like a cap dump?!
To which reporters should answer that the team struggled right out of the gate while those two were perfectly healthy. As many posters have stated.. Marc will use the "injury" card to shea and the others to justify how we are nearly the last place team. He's done it before, he will do it again. Shea just gave him his golden ticket , his golden excuse for this failed season.
"yes I know we struggled to score, but when you are missing your No.1 Defensemen and No.1 Center (PD) you know, sometimes its just not good enough, answers are in the room"
I am going to be out of country and out of the habs for 3 weeks..... thank god. this team is toxic.
I'd argue a fracture is simpler to deal with actually. A bone is broken, well, it's simple, put a cast around it and you let it heal for some weeks. That's all there is to it. How your muscles, tendons, ligaments around that injury get affected is the tricky part, and sometimes it can take long to fix.I'm really starting to question how this team deals with injuries.
It took forever for Price to heal his knee. In 15-16, he played his last game on nov 25.. and he missed like last 20-22 weeks of the season.
Now Weber gets injured on the very first game of the season.. forces himself to play another 25 games.. and now he's been out for 2 months and potentially for the rest of the season.. How the hell did they let this happen. I'm no expert in foot injuries.. but I've never seen one that takes this long to recover. Especially if its not even broken. He obviously shouldn't have played those extra 25 games after his injury. Thank god we are not in position to make the playoffs.
It's not my money but it's a really bad way to invest in a player that Molson pay 12 millions this year.
2010 and 2011 teams were ravaged with injuries but they still made it."My best players were hurt, or they weren't my best players on far too many occasions." It's a valid argument but not what fans want to hear.

I mean, honestly, it's so easy to counter any of the excuses he spews out. All we need is a journalist that isn't actually scared to do his job properly.
Journalist should be neutral, fine, but they should also call out BS when it's spewed out.
The hand that feeds is their employers, so rds, tsn, whichever network they work for.you are totally right... however I think it this situation its montreal who controls them??? so they aren't really going to bite the hand that feeds when their careers/family depend on it

I think they're just bad at their job.
Even when they interview or analyze, they suck at it.
Well I don't know, that's possible. But again, I think most of those guys are terrible journalists anyways.Yes but don't you think that if one of the reporters really sticks it to MB and makes him look like a fool on tv,radio etc(media) that he wouldn't get his hand slapped by the higher ups at RDS,TSN etc as they will get something from habs PR restricting access?
I won't disagree at all that they are truly awful

Shea Weber will see a foot specialist later this week. Expected to have surgery this summer and is expected to miss the first few months of next season as per TSN radio.
At 33 Weber still has 9 years left on his contract.
Nice trade Bergevin.
We cant forget that if Weber retires early , NSH is screwed lol really badly .
