Really nice to see Milan win the title after waiting for over a decade. Can't help but loving Rafael Leao, what a player. Tonali also made a massive improvement compared to last season. And what can you say about Maignan, some crucial saves at right moments and as consistent as they come.
All in all, great team effort, lots of credit to Pioli for that. Lots of fringe players didn't sulk at all, but put in a spirited effort whenever they got their chance to play. Kalulu really stepped up when Kjaer went down with an injury. Even if Kessie wasn't anywhere his level from last season, and knewing that he would leave at season's end, he didn't quit on the team. And got a nice sending off with scoring a goal. Milan grinded out several important wins, and the few misshaps didn't prove out to be detrimental after all.
Not knowing what the potential new owners might be able to invest on the team, maybe Milan can't improve much to be a real threat in Europe, but they should be able to put up more of a fight than this season in the CL group stage.
If there is money available, they would do well to look at players from Ligue 1 teams, who won't be in Europe next season: Botman from Lille and guys from Lyon.
After their remarkable rise from the dead in the 2nd half of the season, Salernitana collapsed really bad in their final home match, but survided anyway in Serie A as Cagliari somehow failed to take advantage against already relegated Venezia.
