V organizme ruského hokejového reprezentanta Sergeja Zinovjeva objavili stopy po marihuane. Ako informuje rozhlasová stanica Echo Moskvy 24-ročný rodák z Novokuznecka mal pozitívny dopingový test pri kontrole, ktorej sa museli podrobiť pred svetovým Å¡ampionátom vÅ¡etci ruskí reprezentanti.

Traces of marijuanna were found in the body of the Russian hockey representative Sergei Zinovjev. "Echo of Moscow" said that it was during doping control test that usually happens before World Championship.

Russian hockey Federation decided that starting in January, all represenatatives must go thru doping control. Everyboy except members of A-league younger than 18 years old, who recently won gold medals in Championship in Minsk.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zinovjev pricestoval s ruskou reprezentáciou do Ostravy a mal byť členom kádra Viktora Tichonova. Napokon sa vÅ¡ak hráč AK Bars Kazaň na Å¡ampionátovú súpisku nedostal a podľa informácie manažéra ruskej reprezentácie Anatolija Bardina už pred úvodným zápasom s Dánskom odcestoval aj domov.

Zinovjev začal aktuálnu sezónu v zámorí, keď pendloval medzi Bostonom a farmou v Providence (AHL). Za prvý tím medveďov odohral 10 zápasov, v ktorých raz asistoval. Následne sa vrátil do Ruska, kde za AK Bars Kazaň odohral 27 duelov s bilanciou 5 gólov a 8 asistencií.

Zinovjev was with Russian delegation till Ostrava and could be a member of Victor Tichonov team. ( I don't really inderstand next sentence as my languages are Russian and Ukrainian )

Zinovjev started regular season over the sea, where he traveled between Boston and farm Providence. For the main Bear's team he played 10 games in which has 1 assist. Then he returnd to Russia and played 27 duels with resultats 5 goals and 8 assits.

It's not, but it's illegal. You know, by law.

Not everywhere. Maybe he hung out at a juice bar in Amsterdam a week and a half ago. :dunno:
I'm all for making sure everyone's on an even playing field, and if that takes drug testing, so be it. Kick him out because there's a specific rule against marijuana use by the atheletes (maybe that's the real reason), but I think it's silly to kick him out for doping reasons. I can't imagine any athelete would smoke pot to gain an edge.

So pot's a performance-enhancing drug these days?

Man, I'm out of the loop!

Yes, because it leads to munchies, which leads to excessive eating, which leads to higher carb intake, which leads to higher energy levels. :dunno:

:lol :lol
