Good depth signing.

Likely #1 center in Bingo. Could play games in the bottom six if there's an injury to a couple of our centers.

Hi Sens fans,

O'Dell is a "dirty goal" scorer. Loves to go to the front of the net and receive a pass from a winger in the corner. His skating is somewhat slow. Two way game has improved a lot. If he didn't get injured last fall he'd likely still be a Jet. Group VI free agent (not enough NHL GP age 25 or later). Supposedly very driven person. His development was stunted by a heart issue, I believe it was a hole in his heart that was diagnosed late in life.

That's all I know about him. You'd have to talk to Ice Caps fans to get more.

Improving Bingo is definitely something I can get behind

If we're going to build our team through the draft almost exclusively then we need to have success, at the team level, in the AHL

I like to think winning breeds winners and simply using the AHL to develop the prospects we have who will make the NHL sounds like lost equity

Wasnt he an RFA who wasnt qualified or is there someone named Dell?

Maybe Grant or Camper replacement

Pretty decent stats. Looks like good signing. Maybe has an outside shot of getting some games in ottawa

Looks im remember incorrectly

Prior to this signing, Bingo only had one right shot forward.

While I know very little about O'Dell I would have preferred to keep Derek Grant in the organization. I guess they lost faith in the guy but I thought he would have made a pretty good 4th line centre in Ottawa given that he was a PK specialist, he was versatile & could play all three forward positions & had some offence to his game. Too bad. :shakehead

Well I think we can put to rest our Grant vs JGP argument.

Really good signing. #1 C in the AHL - Upgrade on Grant and will insulate Paul.

Plus he might still have NHL potential
