Not that any of us ever had high hopes, and there are a few more years yet, but it's really looking like Guptill won't be making it to the Show.

I'm voting Perron because the few times I've seen him I was impressed with his game, he has a nice scoring touch

Perron. He had decent stats on an offensively challenged team. I thought his production without a whole lot of help was pretty impressive. Would love to see 85+ points from him this year. That would be a good season.

Schneider is 25 and it doesn't look like he'll have a chance to make the team before guys like Puempel, Prince, Robinson and even guys like Paul and McCormick. I don't see him before Robinson who Murray came out and said that he would like to give him a shot in the NHL last season personally. I think some other guys have more potential than him in the group that's left to choose from. I have a hard time thinking that by 25 (in 6years) Perron won't be able to do what Schneider is doing in the AHL.

Schneider
Perron
McCormick

Throw Robinson in and that's likely the top-twenty right there.

Went Schneider, easily could have gone Perron or McCormick though.

Add Boyle I guess, definitely slim picking among the rest, but the fact we have future NHLers between 15 and 20 is good for the organization.

I'm not sure that the organization still retains his rights. He signed a pro contract in the ECHL, and is basically a non-prospect at this point.

When we have a tiebreaker like we did for Jaros and Schneider at #16, could we just make the loser #17, and then move on? I don't know what the consensus of people would be, but I think that could save time.

I get what you're saying, but it's early August, there's really no point in "saving time". At least this way we'll ahve something to talk about through August (even if it's about players who will likely never suit up with the team, haha).

I feel sad about how undervalued Perron is... Personally I would have him in the Chlapik/Gagne tier of our prospects.
